We’ve lost another dear friend in daytime

Another World was my first, and purest, soap love.  I loved everything about that show, even when I hated it. 😉  I loved the sets, the actors, the storylines, the history.  I mourned for “Mac”, when Douglass Watson died.  The show was never the same, but it was still ‘my’ show.  It’s with great sadness that I report that we’ve lost yet another member of our daytime family.

Actress Irene Daily (Aunt Liz) has died, at the age of 88.  You can read the full story:  HERE Irene Daily was part of the golden era of daytime, in part because of her immense talent, incredible sensitivity as an actor, and her unparalleled professionalism.  She will be missed by this soap fan.

Remembrance is a golden chain
Death tries to break,
but all in vain.
To have, to love, and then to part
Is the greatest sorrow of one’s heart.
The years may wipe out many things
But some they wipe out never.
Like memories of those happy times
When we were all together.
